The problem is that I had another mac, which was leopard, and I sold it. By selling it I passed all the folders in it to my hard drive. Now I bought an new computer which is snow leopard. When I open the hard disk to pass the folders to my new computer I realize that all the files and folder I had on the desktop of my previous computer have an arrow in it. When I try to open the folder or document it says 'The alias 'name' can't be opened because the original item can't be found'. It also gives me the options for fixing the alias (meaning replacing it for another one), deleting it or just ignore it. The thing is that the only place I have this folders and documents is there. I'm going to loose a lot of data...what to do?
